AMG Systems Ltd. is a Biggleswade based world leading provider of professional fibre optic transmission equipment specifically designed for CCTV surveillance and transportation applications.
“Locating in Biggleswade enables us to reach our London based customers easily by train, it’s easy for overseas customers to find us as Stansted and Luton airports are within easy reach and, as many of our customers are situated north of London, Biggleswade is ideally located” says Sales & Marketing Director Vibeke Ulmann. “We also feel that our location offers us a great base from which to recruit highly qualified staff, and for those who have to commute, our staff certainly feel that it’s easy and quick to get to and from work”.
The company’s customers range from the world's major system integrators and national government organisations, through to small installation companies. AMG equipment is used in a variety of applications throughout the world including many high profile projects such as town centres, highways, railway and underground stations, tunnels, port and airports. These include Jerusalem and Bethlehem town centres, Athens Traffic Control for the 2004 Olympics, Oxford Street and the Millennium Dome in London. AMG exports to many countries, and is currently involved with projects in a number of countries in the Middle East, South East Asia and Europe.
AMG Systems Ltd. was formed in 1990 and now operates from a purpose built 5,000 sq ft unit at Stratton Business Park in Biggleswade which houses Research and Development, Testing, Sales & Marketing and Administration facilities.
Since 1990 the company has grown dramatically and its expertise in different fields led to the formation of AMGas Ltd. a spin out company providing sensors for the oil and gas industry.
