 Bernard Matthews employs 4000 people throughout the East of England. Bernard Matthews’s product ranges have expanded/diversified in Gt. Witchingham, Holton and now in Dunstable.
Dunstable is suitably located for the distribution of the ready-to-eat product range and has the added advantage of offering a good supply of labour.
Over the past two years Bernard Matthews have acquired units 33 and 37 on the Woodside estate and are now using them to produce quality sandwiches and pastry products. The Woodside Industrial Estate is situated on the Luton/Dunstable border and is close (5-10 minutes walk) to major housing estates in Houghton Regis and Lewsey Farm.
Working closely with the local job centres Bernard Matthews aims to continue a positive recruitment policy in the area, giving opportunities to those willing to learn new skills and developing their confidence whilst working for a leading branded company.
Local links are being forged with Community initiatives at the Houghton Regis Kingsland College, Lewsey Farm regeneration project and Barnfield College.
