BAe Systems - moves to purpose built facility

Web Site: http://www.selex-sas.com/aboutus/Luton.pdf

In September 2004 BAe Systems moved its avionics engineering design business into a purpose-built facility on the Eastern Region’s premier business park at Capability Green, Luton.

BAe Systems’ new avionics engineering design facility was opened by the Duke of York and accommodates 800 employees in the first phase of development. The facility is now controlled by Finmeccanica of Italy and is known as Selex Sensors and Airborne Systems, although BAe retains a minority stake. The move brings the company nearer to their principal academic research partner, Cranfield University.
